You can take this course as a video online course or as a face to face course nationwide. As a face to face course, this course trains you in the practical use of fire extinguishers and is an ideal extra course to add to our level 1 and level 2 fire courses and regulated qualifications.
A lack of confidence, knowledge and experience can lead to a fire extinguisher being used incorrectly, which can be dangerous. Ensure your employees are able to use an extinguisher safely and effectively in the event of a fire.
This course offers delegates hands-on experience of the use of an extinguisher, as well as an understanding the different types of extinguishers and their methods of operation, capabilities and limitations.
This 1.5-hour course is suitable for Fire Marshals wishing to increase their knowledge or anyone who may find themselves in a situation where they may need to attempt to tackle a small fire.
This course does not include the use of real fires, it is just to give students the experience of using a fire extinguisher.
This course comes with 2.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 23 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
